Cricket in New York....... Not Happening

IPL has undoubtedly become popular and so did it influence my Indian buddies here in New York. A few of them have IPL Youtube video clips as their favorite videos on Orkut. Well basically they've gone crazy about it.
But it turned wicked when they decided to play cricket here in New York city with the spring season on. I was invited to play and I was glad that I had some means to work at my fitness. It was a beautiful Saturday with the sun blazing down. All my Indian buddies were excited about playing the game. The guards were marked and the wickets were in place. The teams were now ready. My side won the toss and like any other amateur gully cricket team chose to bat first.
Well I described the weather that the New Yorkers' or I should say the Yonkers were waiting for after the long winter. There was a burst of Spring clothing on display and on some really really hot Yonkers women. They were everywhere in that park. Now none of my teammates wanted to go bat. They were too busy looking around like they were blind all these days. There was white, shinny, silky skin all over the park in shorts, minis, frilly short skirts... In short the wardrobe that a man brain desires and always dreams of was on display.
The game got on its way. With the two batsmen out at the center, the rest of the team was more than glad to sit back and continue looking around. Now it got hard on the balling opponent team to concentrate on the ball. There were many catches dropped and lots of misfield. One of them cried out , "Im unable to concentrate on one ball". Well I understood his cry taking into account the Yonkers women jogging around in the most d@#k hopping attire I've come across in my life (in real).
After a certain point no one was bothered about who would win. And for the first time in my life I saw guys coming back with big smiles after they got out. This truly was the best cricketing experience that I've ever had.
